An early passion for fitness is why I became a personal trainer at age 15 and spent years studying Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, and Kinesiology and Physical Education at CSULB and held 5 nationally accredited certifications. I’ve been involved in fitness research studies, public speaking, and taught classes on Nutrition, Wellness, and Strength Training. I’ve coached executives, bodybuilders, fitness competitors, military, firemen, police women, runners, tennis players, skiers, golfers, martial artists, doctors, lifeguards, yoga instructors, and even other certified personal trainers.

My client success stories are the reason I was named “One of LA's Top 5 Trainers”. I've published hundreds of articles, and I’ve been featured on TV, SportsDesk, CitiCable, The Easy Reader, The Daily Breeze, and I was voted “South Bay's Best Trainer” 7 times.

Derek Bimat

Derek has been training in the South Bay for the last 14 years. He is the founder and owner of Derek Bimat's 12-week Body Revolution. He has been featured in the Daily Breeze in a series of articles featuring reporter Meredith Grenier and her amazing 68 pound weight loss transformation. He is also a regular contributor to the Daily Breeze health section, offering workout advice and proper exercise technique. His current projects include a book to share his experiences and to introduce his unique weight loss and fitness program to everyone.

Derek believes that we should find a balance when it comes to nutrition. Enjoying occasional junk food and the many delicacies that life has to offer, while maintaining your health and weight through exercise and moderation.

Lori Scarpo

My name is Lori Scarpo and I have been a personal trainer for 14 years. I know what it's like to have to work hard to lose weight, develop muscle tone, and improve my overall health. I've tackled this challenge personally, and helped many others do the same. No one understands like those who have suffered with the same issues.

Frances Dahl

My name is Sturla Frances Dahl. I have been a personal trainer for 23 years. I started at the early age of 17 years old. When I was 15 years, I started bodybuilding and competing. I won the title of Mr. Norway. I stopped competing at the age of 24, but continued training and living healthy.

My hobbies are soccer, hockey, and skiing. I went to culinary school to further my education and my healthy lifestyle. I went to massage school later to add to my education. With all the education from cooking, training, and massage therapy, I continue to give my clients, pain and relief at the same time (smiling). On my down time, I train jiu-jitsu where I have competed and earned my brown belt.

Sue Ludwig

After a 19 year career in senior management in financial services, I decided to utilize my business background to build and manage a full service Gold’s Gym, I managed the gym for 5 years during which time I trained to become a trainer and nutritional consultant.

I sold my gym to 24 Hour Fitness so I could dedicate myself to working full time as a Personal Trainer, focused primarily on working professionals. With my background in management, I easily relate to the pressures of my clients’ needs to balance time and money.

I now have over 20 years experience working as a nationally certified personal trainer. During those years I have trained hundreds of people from age 12 to 88, with various physical limitations and experience, from beginners to athletes. My clients have repaired injuries and eliminated chronic pain without the need for surgery and/or constant chiropractic visits. I have worked with morbidly obese individuals that have lost more than 100 lbs using my diet techniques and guidance.

My techniques incorporate kinetically sound, natural range of motion exercises, designed to challenge specific muscles, joints and skeletal stability. Depending on an individual’s current condition, limitations and goals, I incorporate core and flexibility training, strength training and body sculpting.
